OWN A PIECE OF HEART & GIVE A HAND TO FARMERS!

Fabric and Feed is proud to host a drawing for this handmade quilt, with all the proceeds donated to the Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont's Farmer Emergency Fund.

Why the NOFA-VT Farmer Emergency Fund?
Established in 1997, this vital fund has been a lifeline for Vermont farmers in the face of natural and unnatural disasters. Our resilient community has faced historic and catastrophic weather events over the last year. From the widespread freeze in May to the devastating floods in July, our local farmers bore the brunt of these severe weather phenomena. Soil damage, crop loss, and various other challenges hit hard.

How Your Contribution Helps:
By participating in this drawing, you're not just getting a chance to win a beautiful quilt; you're actively contributing to the recovery and resilience of our local farming community. The Farmer Emergency Fund provides critical support by offering VT farmers the needed cash flow during times of emergency, helping them recover, rebuild, and become more resilient in the face of adversity.

Why I'm Doing This:
This quilt represents more than stitches and fabric; it symbolizes solidarity with our local farmers. In times of crisis, they've stood strong; now it's our turn to stand with them. This is how I've chosen to show up for my local farmers, and I'm inviting you to show up with me.

QUILT INFO:
“Summer in Vermont” is 100% cotton and was pieced and quilted on a domestic sewing machine. The binding was attached by hand with a big stitch binding. It finished at approximately 40” x 49.” Think of it as a large wall hanging, baby quilt, or small throw. This quilt was made to be loved and can last for generations so long as it’s cared for properly. Care instructions will be provided to the winner.

This quilt is valued at $475

Entry Information:
One (1) entry costs $25, and you can purchase multiple entries.
There is a limit of 100 entries available. If we sell all 100 tickets, that will raise enough money for one of the $2,500 grants available for commercial farmers who are NOFA-VT members.

Eligibility:
This drawing is open to both Vermont and out-of-state participants within the US. Fabric & Feed will cover shipping costs to ensure the quilt safely reaches its new home, if necessary.

Timeline:
This fundraising event concludes on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at 7 PM EST.
A winner will be randomly drawn at 8 PM EST on that same day. They will be notified via email, and I will share on social media shortly after.
Once the drawing has concluded, all proceeds will be donated to NOFA-VT within two weeks (by May 5, 2024) from the end of the drawing.
